Work Experience

Montana 4-H Center for Youth Development

I currently work here on MSU campus as an administrative assistant; making copies, organizing supplies, shipping items, data entry, and anything else that needs to be done.  The 4-H Center also puts on several events which I sometimes help operate.

In the summer of 2013 I continued working at the 4-H Center through Montana 4-H Congress.  I assisted with the organization and set up with the event in the months before to get it all ready for when the 4-Hers arrived.  Then, during the event, I managed the stage operations for all of the ceremonies.  This included writing and revising scripts with youth, communicating with other committees to get all of the correct information, and producing a quality final product.  I had never done anything quite like this before, so it was certainly a learning experience!  But we had a lot of fun.

Housesitting

Since last spring I have taken care of houses and animals for people while they're away.  This has ranged from checking in on animals during the day to watching over things for three weeks.  I have experience with all kinds of animals, from horses to birds!

Big Sky Pantry

For the summer of 2012 I worked as a clerk and cashier at this small local store.  I loved talking with customers and preparing foods like our famous sandwiches and soft serve ice cream.

Pend Oreille Shores Resort

Also in the summer of 2012, I worked as a housekeeper preparing rooms for guests at the resort.  It is a great environment for both employees and visitors.
