Resume
I'm Alana, an undergraduate student at Montana State University in Bozeman, MT. If you would like, feel free to take a moment to look around. This site is currently a mix of a personal blog from my trip to Mexico and a professional portfolio. I am always on the lookout for opportunities for a job, internship, volunteering, or other interesting experiences, or just sharing my own!
I am majoring in industrial engineering (IE) with a focus that may turn into a minor in Spanish language and culture. I have always wanted to do something where I could solve problems, have a lot of variety with my work, and make a positive difference in people's lives. I think that IE is a great fit because I can do all those things by figuring out how to make systems work better. When we waste less time and use fewer valuable resources, we have a chance to make more good things happen and make the world a better place. That is so awesome to me!
In addition to my studies, I work at the Montana 4-H Center and I'm involved in activitiesincluding Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, AdvoCats, Institute of Industrial Engineers, CrossLife Group at Grace Bible Church, skiing and hiking, and cheering on Bobcat sports teams. I love being a Bobcat, and I love being in a great college town like Bozeman!
To supplement my Spanish studies, I spent two months in Guadalajara, Mexico this summer for a study abroad experience. Check out the blog portion of my site on the Montana to Mexico posts to read about that.
Thanks for looking, have an awesome day!
